Art Contest

Annually, AlohaCare sponsors a statewide art contest promoting healthy habits for children ages 4 to 12. This year’s art contest promotes healthy lifestyle habits and is based on the following theme “I keep healthy by…” and then one of the following categories must be selected:
 
• Nutrition: For example, “I keep healthy by drinking lots of water.”
• Outdoor activities: For example, “I keep healthy by playing kickball.” 
• Preventive health: For example “I keep healthy by washing my hands.”
• Mental health: For example, “I keep healthy by reading books.”

AlohaCare has held the Children’s Art Contest for the past eight years. Last year more than 2,000 children participated. The winners are selected statewide. The first place winner in each division will receive $100 in cash. Past winners have also been featured in the AlohaCare Children’s Art Calendar. More than 40,000 calendars were distributed last year.
 
To enter the contest, please submit a horizontal crayon or marker drawing on an 8.5”x11” white paper, cut out the entry form and glue or tape it to the bottom left hand corner of the back the drawing.

Drawings must be postmarked by February 26, 2010.
 
Note: Drawings need to be original and may not include copyrighted characters. AlohaCare will keep all artworks submitted.
