Annually, AlohaCare sponsors a statewide art contest promoting healthy habits for children grades K to 6.
Submit a horizontal drawing using crayons, markers, colored pencils or watercolors on an 8.5” x 11” white paper that shows the following theme “I keep healthy by…” and one of the following categories must be selected:
Preventive health: For example “I keep healthy by washing my hands.”
Mental health: For example, “I keep healthy by doing crossword puzzles.”
Nutrition: For example, “I keep healthy by drinking lots of water.”
Physical activities: For example, “I keep healthy by dancing hula.”

The winners will be announced in the Spring of 2015. The first place winners of each age group will receive $100 for their winning drawings.
AlohaCare has held the Children’s Art Contest for the past 12 years. Each year, more than 2,500 children submit their artwork. The winners are selected statewide. Past winners have also been featured in the AlohaCare Children’s Art Calendar. More than 60,000 calendars are distributed.
